Sosilawati murder: Prosecution To Prove Murder Committed By All Four Accused

SHAH ALAM, July 4 (Bernama) -- The prosecution in the murder trial of cosmetic millionairess Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya and three others will submit evidence to prove that N.Pathmanabhan and his three workers committed the murders.
Deputy public prosecutor Ishak Mohd Yusoff, in his opening speech, said the evidence was based on the findings of the victims' DNA on the exhibits that had been tendered, like cricket bat and the zinc sheets used for burning the victims' bodies.

SHAH ALAM: The jail sentence for two accused who pleaded guilty to disposing evidence in the Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya's murder case was increased from 7 years to 20 years by the High Court on appeal by the two against their 7 years jail sentence handed down by the judge. Judge Datuk Mohtaruddin Baki revised the decision of the magistrate, which was 7 years for each of the four counts to run concurrently, to 5 years for each count, to run consecutively

KUALA LUMPUR: The woman who surrendered to police on Thursday in connection with the Banting murder investigations, claimed that she, too, was a victim of the suspects. The woman's lawyer, M. Manoharan, claimed the woman had been locked up in a shed on the poultry farm in Ladang Gadong, Banting, since December last year.
The 27-year-old woman had claimed that she knew one of the main suspects since 2003.

BANTING: The excavation process at a poultry farm in Ladang Gadong, Tanjung Sepat, to scout for new evidence linked to missing businessman Mohd Shafik Abdullah, 37, from Sungai Petani, Kedah, and his unidentified friend, was ceased as of 3.30pm today. Clad in orange lock-up uniforms, four of the eight suspects were brought back in a police van while being heavily guarded by police.

KUALA LANGAT, Sept 25 (Bernama) -- Police Saturday brought in a bulldozer into Ladang Gadong, Banting, to carry out digging works at two new sites at the farm where the Banting murders were alleged to have taken place.
It is learnt that one of the sites was located within the farm belonging to one of the suspects, while the other was located outside.

Dr. Kasi’s police report on 29th. March 2010 clearly states that his brother Allal Kathan Muthuraja cannot be contacted by the family and believed he has been kidnapped.
Paid RM 50,000 in cash to Elil Velavan at Istana Hotel , Klang for his brothers release purportedly held by the police.
Strangely, the case was passed to Commercial Crime division.
