Dr. Gomez, a University Malaya Associate Professor, was recently appointed as project manager for research in identity, conflict and social cohesion with the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development. UM authorities rejected his two years leave applications forcing him to tender his resignation. A public outcry prompted PM Badawi to overrule UM decision that saved his job. Gomez now is making several serious allegations against the UM management. 16/05/05
