Batu Caves Garbage

Chairman of Batu Caves Sri Maha Mariamman temple, have held various positions in the Temple mismanagement for decades. Millions of Indians, all over the country, contribute to the temple fund but only a few hundred people, with an archaic electoral system, have the power to choose the temple committee.

Police reports and legal actions taken in the past have all failed to bring any change. On 01/02/05, a week after Thaipusam , TV3 reported with images of the filthy rotting garbage uncollected at Batucaves polluting the environment.

Probably, the management may act swiftly in a couple of days to clean the place. But, who will clean the rotten garbage management and bring some accountability?

PUTRAJAYA: Batu Caves temple committee chairman R. Nadarajah, who was convicted seven years ago for misappropriating temple funds but subsequently acquitted by a High Court, was finally cleared for good by the Court of Appeal after it struck out the prosecution’s appeal against the acquittal.
