Nallakaruppan set to join MIC?

Monday, August 13, 2007

Nalla, a failed politician who recently quit National Justice Party (PKR) seems to be negotiating with MIC leadership and about to return its fold according to some reliable sources. Unable to secure any top positions in PKR and not being selected as a candidate in the Ijok by-election, he betrayed his long time friend, Anwar Ibrahim and left the party with ‘thousands of supporters’ that he claims to be.

He said he will decide his next course of action in 10 days when he left PKR. Months have passed but nothing concrete came out from him. Finally, looks like he will be back on Samy’s feet, again.

Nallakarruppan Solaimalai

Nallakaruppan, another successful ‘rag to riches’ Indian Malaysian, is set to join PKR (People’s Justice Party). How he amassed so much of wealth is intriguing. He was just an ordinary man before Samy Velu appointed him MIC Youth deputy chairman. Since then, his stars begun to shine in the corporate world and was nominated as director in many construction companies namely Angkasa, the Jalan Kuching toll collection company and Magnum, the gambling company.

Unlike other loyal nominees, Nalla was not ready to let go all the ill earned fortune for a meager share for his role. He decided to keep everything for himself straining his relationship with Samy. Realizing the danger in antagonizing Samy, Nalla needed a protector. He jumped to Subra’s camp, later became close to Anwar, former DPM, and, of course, Samy can’t touch him anymore.

However, Nalla was detained in July 1998 under the Internal Security Act when Anwar got into trouble with Mahathir.

Nalla:  Good or Evil Karrupan?
In Tamil language Nalla literally means good and Karruppan means Blackman. So, Nallakarruppan translates as Good Blackman as his parents who named him may have hopped that he (Nalla) will live up to his name. But, sadly he turned out to be  Thiruttu (evil) Karruppan who is good in betraying and backstabbing the Indian community.

Battle heats up with sworn statement of Najib's

mallasianinsider.com, Aug 24 2008 -- "Thagarajoo, Nallakaruppan's one-time driver, swears he brought Mr. Ji to Najib's house every month to perform Hindu prayers and rituals. And it appears it is still going on until today. Does that, therefore, render Najib's oath, performed the so-called 'proper' Islamic way, null and void?" (.....more)

Thiruttu karrupan made a senator

By G. Manimaran, November 01, 2011, FMT

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 — Datuk K.S. Nallakaruppan, a former close aide of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has been appointed a senator by the federal government.
The Malaysian Indian United Party (MIUP) president, known as Anwar’s “tennis partner” at the time the former deputy prime minister was charged with sodomy in 1998, told The Malaysian Insider today that he received his letter of appointment last week. (......more)

Nalla forming a new party?

Nallkaruppan who left Justice Party (PKR) after not being selected for party top position seems to have registered a new political party quietly. He intends to announce the formation within this week, according to a source. The approval was somewhat on a fast track compared to several other applications, like MIC Baru, that are still pending. Malaysian ruling party is likely to use Nalla to discredit the charismatic Anwar Ibrahim.
